Cocktail Manhattan. European and world cuisine

Ingredients:
60 ml bourbon, or rye whiskey
25 ml sweet red vermouth
3 dashes Angostura bitters
1 Maraschino cherry

Preparation and serving:
Combine the whiskey, vermouth and the Angostura in a shaker half filled with ice. Shake well and pour in to a cocktail glass. Garnish with the Maraschino cherry.

Variants:
Dry Manhattan: dry vermouth instead of sweet.
