Cucumber salad (Gurkensalat). Austrian cuisine

Ingredients:
1 cucumber
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp. vinegar
3 tbsp. olive oil
Salt
Sugar
White pepper

Preparation and serving:
Peel the cucumber and cut in fine discs. Add some salt, mix and leave for few minutes. Add the squashed garlic, vinegar, a bit suggar and white pepper. Mix well and leave again for few minutes. Add the olive oil and mix again.

Variants:
Often cream is used instead of olive oil.
