Ingredients (serve 4):
500 gr. beef
2 onions
3 bay leaves
75 gr. butter
500 ml beef stock
Black pepper
Salt
Preparation and serving:
Cut the meat in cubes with size 3 cm. Slice the onions in rings. In a deep pan fry the meat in the butter until it gets golden-brown. Season with salt and pepper during the cooking. Then pour the stock and add water to cover the meat. Add the bay leaves and the onion rings. Bring to the boil, then decrease the heat and leave it to simmer for 3 hours. The meat is ready when it almost falls apart. Taste and if needed add some salt and pepper.
Serve hot with a side plate with chips and mayonnaise.
