Ingredients:
200 gr. butter
450 gr. brown sugar
100 ml water
1 egg
2 tbsp. honey
750 gr. self raising flour
1 pinch salt
2 tbsp. cinnamon
30 blanched almonds
Milk or eggs, for brushing over the cookies
Preparation and serving:
Mix the butter and sugar well. Add the water, egg and the honey. Sieve together the flour, salt and cinnamon. Then add to the butter mixture. Work up to make homogenous dough. Leave to rise in a cold place for about 5 hours. Divide the dough into 30 pieces. Roll and flatten to about 1.5 centimeters. Put them in a baking tin, coverred with baking paper. Press an almond in each cookie.
Brush with egg or milk and bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 15 minutes.
