Roasted Greek Potatoes (Πατάτες φούρνου). Greek cuisine

Ingredients:
1 kg. potatoes
100 ml olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon
2 cloves garlic
4 bay leaves
1 tsp. oregano
10 grains pimento
1/2 bunch dill, or parsley
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. red pepper
Salt

Preparation and serving:
Peel the potatoes, slice and put in a baking tin. Flavour with salt, black pepper and red pepper. Add the olive oil, bay leaves, pimento and the lemon juice and mixc well. Pour water to cover the potatoes, Bake in an oven at 300°C for 1 hour.
Serve hot, sprinkled with fine chopped dill, or parsley, usually as a side dish for roasted meat.
